Pediatric Moonshot
The Pediatric Moonshot mission is to reduce healthcare inequity, lower healthcare costs and improve outcomes for children - locally and globally by creating privacy-preserving real-time applications based on access to data in all 1,000,000 healthcare machines in all 500 children's hospitals in the world. To accomplish the mission, we launched a new venture three years ago to build a highly decentralized, in-the-building cloud service. During 2022 we deployed edge zones in eight children's hospitals on three continents. In 2023 we started the Mercury and Gemini programs. Mercury is a global image sharing network designed to enable image sharing from non children's hospitals and clinics with clinical experts at the 500 children's hospitals. Gemini is a global AI research lab for Children's medicine. Similar to a pharma lab, Gemini is an environment to build privacy-preserving real-time AI applications in cardiology, radiology, orthopedics, oncology and emergency medicine.
